A leader in the field of home care and hospice, Tim’s expertise and career has included a unique blend of clinical, operational, fiscal, and academic roles. Tim is a frequent presenter at national and state conferences and is often asked to contribute to industry forums. Tim provides organizational, operational, turn around, and change management services to home care agencies across the country and is highly skilled at helping agencies to create real change and progress on their path to Triple Aim outcomes. He is also the Co-Director of the 2016-2017 National Home Care and Hospice State of the Industry Study. Prior to joining Fazzi, Tim was the Vice President of Clinical Operations for Visiting Nurse Service of Rochester & Monroe County in New York. Michael Blackstone is a physician, having earned his MD from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in 2006. After serving as resident physician at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, Dr. Blackstone founded Suture Health, Inc., in 2009. In 2011, Suture Health launched SutureSign, an electronic signature platform designed as a network to maximize physician participation and value to post-acute providers, shortening the reimbursement cycle and driving new revenue to home health and hospice companies alike. Charles Breznicky, Jr., is a registered nurse with over 15 years of experience in various health care fields. Sherri Parson, RN, HCS-D, HCS-O, COS-C, BCHH-C, HSC-H brings more than 25 years of health care experience to her role as Vice President of Education and Control Standards with Quality in Real Time (QIRT). Earning her RN license in 1994, Sherri started her career providing direct care first in hospital settings, including medical surgical, ICU, and interventional radiology before transitioning to home health. Sherri has been an in-home provider of skilled nursing services, as well as developing expertise in quality assurance, diagnosis coding, OASIS review, and regulatory compliance. Sherri further developed her home health expertise as a therapy manager and staff education and development expert. Sherri’s vast experience in home health prepared her for her current role at QIRT where she is responsible for hiring, training, and monitoring coding and OASIS review staff and managers, as well as establishing the metrics for key performance indicators to ensure continuous staff improvement in coding and OASIS accuracy. In addition to providing all staff training and education, Sherri travels around the country to present at state home care association meetings, national events, and to provide on-site, in-service programs to agencies. Sherri has authored numerous articles and is frequently sought after for her expertise by publications such as "Diagnosis Coding Pro for Home Health".

Sue Payne joined the Corridor team as the Vice President of Clinical Services & Innovation in December 2016 after Transpirus (where she was the Senior Vice President of Clinical Services) was acquired by Corridor. Corridor provides support services nationally to the home health and hospice industry, which includes operations consulting, revenue cycle management, education, and coding and OASIS review services. In her role, Sue is responsible for identifying and implementing clinical and operational business development options to meet client needs. Sue has over 25 years in home care operations and strategic leadership. Prior to her role at Corridor, Sue was the Vice President of Home Health at Advanced Home Care and at Life Care at Home, both of which are multi-state home care providers. Previously, she was the Administrative Director at Bon Secours Home Care, a multi-site hospital-based home care agency. She has experience with hospital-based, long-term care-based, and privately-held home care companies. Sue was the recipient of the 2011 Leadership Award from the Association for Home & Hospice Care of North Carolina. She has presented nationally at Press Ganey, Visiting Nurses Association of America, American Congress of Healthcare Executives, and state associations on topics such as preventing avoidable readmissions, value-based purchasing, staffing retention, and early careerist mentoring. She currently serves as a VNAA board member and co-chair for VNAA Governance Committee. Sue has a BS degree in Nursing from Radford University, an MBA from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, and holds a Certification in Home Health/Hospice from the National Association for Home Care & Hospice.

Cheryl Peltekis, RN, is an infectious leader in the home health, hospice, and private pay home care industry. From the ground up, Cheryl built and ran a multi-million dollar Medicare-certified and JACHO-accredited home health and hospice agency for over 23 years. Cheryl also assist clients that are selling in growing their organizations to increase their value through her consulting company, Home Care Sales. Beginning in 2017, Cheryl has managed mergers and acquisitions and works with buyers and sellers to close transactions. She is also available to assist with loan financing and provide expertise with valuation cases.

Barbara Provini has over 35 years of experience in the health care industry, including nearly a decade specializing in hospice quality. Currently a Clinical Review Specialist for the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), a nationally-recognized, non-profit accreditation organization that has Medicare Deeming Authority for home health, hospice, and DMEPOS. Barbara educates and assists customers with interpreting the ACHC Standards and Medicare Conditions of Participation and advises and supports the Hospice and Home Health Surveyor team. Barbara’s experience has allowed her to successfully prepare and lead agencies with developing best practices and compliance strategies.

Michael Ringel's mission is to help associations, business owners, executives, and their families make prudent financial decisions to avoid financial failure. Michael coaches his clients on the academics of investing, based upon Nobel Prize economist’s investment strategies and theories. During the exit planning process, Michael help his business owner clients discover their exit objectives. These objectives include identifying how much money they need to receive from the sale of their business to maintain their lifestyle during retirement, identify the most effective way to transfer their business, and to whom do they wish to transfer the business. Michelle Roflo, DNP, APRN, AGNP-C, is a compliance officer at Florida Homecare Specialists (FHS) and the chief operating officer of A+ Quality Management & Consulting. Michelle previously served as the administrator of Florida Homecare Specialists - Citrus Branch. Under her supervision and leadership, FHS has been one of the home health agencies chosen as a preferred agency for three Accountable Care Organizations in the area. Adrian Schauer is the founder and CEO of AlayaCare, a healthtech start-up serving the home health care market and looking to deliver the next disruptive solution for the industry by combining remote patient monitoring, clinical documentation, and back office software. Adrian is a serial technology entrepreneur having built two successful mobile software companies, both achieving leadership positions in their respective markets before being acquired. Adrian is an active Angel Investor and sits on the boards of several companies including fast growing technology firms, including: Chipcare, a point-of-care medical device company; TrackTik, a software-as-a-service company; and, Resolver, a governance, risk, and compliance software provider. Adrian is also the co-founder of the Madiro Fund, a charitable organization created to support innovative solutions to the health problems in low income countries.

Sharon Seaton has 30 years of varied home health and hospice experience in clinical and senior management, as well as experience in compliance in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. Her focus has been on quality, compliance, and education. As an Executive Director, her agency won an award for Agency of the Year for growth and quality scores. She also was the recipient of a Rotary International grant for rural hospice care. Sharon has served as a board member for the Colorado Hospice and Palliative Care Association. She is currently an Education Specialist and Quality Assurance Reviewer for home health coding, OASIS, and hospice coding services at The Corridor Group. Sharon has been a featured speaker at conferences across the U.S. showcasing both hospice and home health coding and compliance.

Jamie Seneca is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring a proactive communications strategy and tactical plan which supports Trilogy Home Healthcare's marketing and sales department’s overall goals. She plans, implements, and executes Trilogy’s strategic initiatives with the purpose of providing a platform for branding, enhancing visibility in the community, and attracting referral sources and new patients. Jamie has 21 years of experience in health care marketing and has a refreshing approach when it comes to long term relationship building within the health care industry.

Kimberly R. Smoak has been with the Agency for Health Care Administration since 1995. She is the Bureau Chief of Field Operations located in the Division of Health Quality Assurance, and is responsible for the oversight of field operations and the complaint administration unit. She is responsible for ensuring both federal and state survey work is completed timely, monitors quality improvement/quality assurance indicators for the division, training of survey staff and other agency staff, data management, and support functions. Ms. Smoak is also the State Survey Agency Director for the State of Florida. Ms. Smoak holds a Masters of Science in Health with the program emphasis in Aging Studies. She is also a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional. In 2009 and 2017, she received Survey & Certification Achievement Awards, presented by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, for her work in survey and certification.

Angelo Spinola, Esq., is nationally recognized as one of the leading practitioners regularly representing the home care industry across the country in connection with a variety of labor and employment law issues. Angelo regularly represents home care providers to defend collective and class action suits brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act and various state wage and hour laws, respond to wage and hour investigations by the U.S. Department of Labor, and develop compliance measures that minimize wage and hour exposure. Jess Stover is a Principal at BlackTree Healthcare Consulting. Having spent her career almost exclusively in the home care industry, Jess has helped organizations improve their daily operations by taking a consultative approach to reimbursement and strategy. Jess has more than 12 years of experience providing extensive revenue cycle and operations consulting to organizations of all sizes. In addition to her role at BlackTree, Jess has served as an Interim Director of Patient Accounts, Interim Project Manager of software implementation, and Interim Business Officer for a variety of organizations across the country. Apryl Swafford began her nursing career in 1993, obtaining her BSN from Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, AL. Her tenure as a home health nurse began in 1997 when she worked in multiple positions including field case management, clinical management, and as a team leader of a cardiopulmonary specialty program. During those years, she was responsible not only for providing direct patient care but also for chart audits, OASIS review, and coding while managing a team of nurses, therapists, and home health aides. She is certified in ICD-10 coding, hospice coding, and OASIS, and currently works as a team leader liaison for Home Health Solutions, an Alabama-based home health and hospice consulting firm. She puts her certifications to good use reviewing charts along with leading a team of auditors and interacting with agencies across the country. She is also engaged in speaking at various conferences and agencies where she provides education on topics of interest in this fast paced, ever-changing home health industry.

Vicky Trevarthan has diversified knowledge and experience expanding over 25 years with national leaders in home health care. Vicky’s successes started as a clinical field nurse and expanded to become a corporate consultant. She is an ACHC-certified consultant and a former ACHC surveyor. She consults home care agencies on Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI), regulatory compliance, and survey preparedness. Vicky is an excellent educator and is able to teach your staff with easy to learn methods. She resides in Florida.

Anne Tumlinson is the founder of the advisory services and research firm, Anne Tumlinson Innovations. She has 25 years of research and consulting experience in the areas of post-acute and long-term care financing and delivery. Her work has helped organizations respond successfully to payment and delivery reform, and to develop innovative ideas for public policy change necessary to prepare the country for demographic shifts. Anne has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee and U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging, and appeared before the congressional Long-Term Care Commission and the Bipartisan Policy Center. Laura B. Waddle, RN, MS, HCS-D, is Educational Consultant and Director of Coding Services at MAC Legacy. Laura has over 30 years of experience in nursing education. She has been in home health since 2004 starting as a field nurse and progressing to director of an agency, prior to assuming the role of Educational Consultant. She possesses content mastery of home health and hospice coding with certifications in home health coding by the board of Medical Specialty Coding and Compliance, as well as Board Certified Home Health Coder National Credentialing Board of Home Health & Hospice. Maria Warren, Consulting Director at McBee, has nearly a decade of home health and hospice experience and a wealth of knowledge and expertise in health care financial and revenue cycle management. Maria leads her team in revenue cycle assessments, CBO set-up and re-design, and interim management positions. One might say that Kim Wilkerson essentially “grew up” in home health, having spent almost her entire adult life working in it. After working for a few years for other companies, she managed to scrape together $5000 for an initial payment for a five-patient census home health agency outside of Houston. She sold the agency in 2007 after increasing it to a census of over 500 patients in three offices. After “retiring” to Key West in 2008, she then successfully opened a new agency in an area where there had only been one agency for over 25 years. She then sold that agency in 2017. Through these acquisitions, she has seen the good, the bad, and the ugly and learned from it all. Active now in consulting with a focus on due diligence and compliance, Kim has a wealth of practical knowledge for anyone contemplating divesting an agency.
