Attendees will participate in an interactive session geared toward recognizing your agency’s strengths and weaknesses and what that means as we move forward in a Value Based Purchasing world. Positioning yourself as a partner will insure your success. Having qualified staff, understanding the consequences of their roles and actions as well as having the knowledge to read and process data will set the stage for the culture of your agency that will set you apart from others.

Value Based Purchasing, CJR, OASIS-C2, CoPs and preauthorizations. Medicare Home Health Care continues to be ever-changing. Implement a quality improvement program that can take all the information and reports available to an agency and focus on the most critical items to improve your agency outcomes in practical ways. In this interactive session, we will discuss Casper reporting, HHCAHPS, Pepper reports, benchmarking, home health compare and the Star ratings…..what is similar and what is different, and some real life strategies to improve your outcomes. Bring your current reports, and we will discuss your specific reports, and a walk away with an action plan for improvement measures.

In these challenging times an organization cannot afford any additional regulatory burden unless the requirement is mandated by the state, your accrediting organization or it contributes to the positive healthcare outcomes of the patient. During this session, home care providers of all experience levels will learn to distinguish fact from fiction when it comes to Private Duty regulatory compliance. Comparisons to Florida state and accrediting entities will be discussed to assist you in making an educated selection of which one is best suited to your needs. An overview of the private duty survey process will be presented to enable you to begin preparations. Please join us for a unique learning opportunity designed specifically for private duty providers.

This workshop is designed for home health providers and their staff to equip them with the tools they need to be successful with Medicare billing, coverage and documentation requirements. This session will provide insight for home health agency staff at all levels. Palmetto GBA will provide information related to the most common errors identified through a variety of data analysis and some hints and tips on the reasons why these errors occur. Palmetto GBA’s ultimate goal is to have educated and astute providers who know how to accurately and skillfully apply the information they learn to their documentation and billing practices!

Have you considered developing and facilitating Caregiver Support Groups in the communities you service to help grow your home care business while meeting the emotional needs of your clients and families? This session will help get you started. Starting a customized Community Education Program above and beyond the norm can help your business be recognized as an expert leader in home care. This session will outline some of the considerations to keep in mind in starting such a program. Many private duty businesses have Dementia and Alzheimer's disease programs, however far fewer have a signature Parkinson’s disease program to help them stand out from the competition.
